Millie, the Jack Russell, has been fostered by a firefighter who saved her life from an east London blaze.
Back in June, firefighters saved a dog from a nasty fire in a ground floor flat in Manor Park. Poor Millie was found lifeless under a bed before being rescued by the London Fire Brigade.
She is now living happily with lead firefighter Jamie Trew.
According to the Evening Standard, the firefighters were met by a woman outside the flat who told them her dog was still inside. They ran in to tackle the fire before lifting the bed and finding Millie’s lifeless body beneath it. They treated her by giving her oxygen, cooling her with cold water, and finally reviving her.
Millie spent some time at the vets before her owner agreed that Jamie and his family could take her home. A happy ending to what could have been a really tragic story. Just look at Millie’s little face!
